The Peel Exchange

The Peel Exchange is a fun take on the banana theme given for the 2025 Cornhacks competition. It's a stock market simulation game, with the theme of bananas. Each stock was given a random starting price, as well as a random volatility. There is a formula that changes the stock's price. This formula is run every 30 seconds by a background cron job. The site uses HTMX to reload the stocks automatically, showing the previous 5 hours of history on a graph.
